For some years now I have relied on the audible speed warning provided by Waze, via Android Auto, to keep me out of trouble. A recent (unwanted) update appears to have removed this feature from Waze and replaced it with a slightly enhanced visual warning. This has nothing of the immediacy of the audible warning as as you are not aware of your excess speed until you find time to glance at the screen by when it may be too late.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, and more importantly has anyone found a way round it? Is there a setting in the updated Waze App which I have missed or is there another app available via Android Auto which provides an audible warning? I don't really mind about the navigational features of Waze but I do prefer to drive with an audible speed warning.
