Audio keeps going - random wish

Relatively new to the MG5.

I'm getting used to the no start/stop button, but as we know the infotainment system keeps going until the car is locked.

Given that so much is just software, I do wish there were a setting available to effectively turn the infotainment off if it's in park and the driver's door is opened! A minor niggle I know, but it irks me that my podcast/audiobook keeps on going whilst I'm unpacking the shopping, or whatever!

I know you can just pause it - but with carplay it doesn't then seem to pick back up easily - it's not just there when you start the car next to press 'play'.

So just throwing this out there, just in case anyone is listening!

I press the pause button, which has the same effect.

On Android Auto you can change a setting to have it pick up where it left off automatically. When my phone connects it opens Android Auto automatically anyway, so the play/pause button on the steering wheel works. Is it different for Carplay?

Yeah, at least it is for me - if i don't pause it, it does pick up and continue automatically, but if I pause it before exiting, then the 'now playing' just comes up blank when I next start the car.
Maybe it's just me..

You mean on the home screen? For me it goes to some other source until AA starts playing. If AA isn't set to pick up where it left off, the home screen goes to some other option. It is a bit annoying.
