Autocar review - MG4 EV (2026)

There seems to be some technical oddities in the Autocar review compared to the information on the MG website:

Autocar are quoting 188BHP (140 kW). MG are quoting 170kW (227BHP) for the Premium long range.

Under the Weights and Measures section of the Autocar review it says it had 17" rims as tested, MG are quoting 18" rims

Under the performance section the 0-62 times and the top speed would be more in line with the Premium Long Range, rather than the Extended Range that they say they've reviewed. They should be in the region of 6.1 seconds to 62 and a top speed of 112MPH.

It also looks like they've dropped the auto dimming rear view mirror too, like they seem to be doing on other models to like the Cyberster, MGS5.

To be fair, MG haven't helped by making the MG4 Urban/MG4 facelift names unnecessarily complicated. But agree these reviewers should get the basics, right. At least it showed some good shots off the interior/exterior. Is it just me, or did the front seats have little MG logos on them? 🙂👍

Yes they do on the MG4 facelift, it's a nice touch, but it's not on the Urban.

Sort of..if you zoom in. The M runs down the centre of the panel, from the back to the front of the seat squab. The G is at 45 degrees across the panel again from back to front but on a different line to the M.

In fact it could just as easily be GM. 😁
