As I've said befor new to EVs. We don't have a garage so vehicle has to live on the drive, what do you do about battery heating is this just in the cooer months?
All help and advice appreciated.

Only reason to turn battery heating on is to improve charging speed at DC charging stations when the outside temperature is low. Needs to be turned on 30 mins before you get to charger. If you are AC charging it wont make any difference.

Depending on the weather it could be more than 30 minutes, the batterypack is a massive hunk of "metal" that needs heating up.

I also have a swasticar, once when it was -11C i pulled out of our driveway and navigated to a Tesla charger that was 70 miles away as this was the best option to top up, what i needed for the rest of the return trip (Would be more expensive on the way home due to time of day) and as i pulled out and put it in D, it started heating the battery immediately and kept the heater on for the duration of the drive to the SuC

So, I'm on way to charge at DC station, I'm 30 minutes away how do I turn on battery heating while traveling?

Either via the MG app. In car you can only turn the heater to always on!
In the iSmart is not great, as you can only schedule when the heater will come on:
Classic Theme , home screen EV Management, gear wheel top right, or in 100 years theme, scroll down to the battery icon, then gear wheel and schedule battery heating.

All are hard to navigate too, so I guess MG don't want you to use the battery heater on-demand!

Just be mind full that, IF you are getting really short of range, while heading over to the charging hub, that using the 7 kw battery heater WILL significantly reduce your remaining range !.
It pulls about the same energy from the traction battery as the cabin heating system in the car.

Could I turn this to on whilst traveling?

Yes I believe you can, then you will see range reduced pretty much straight away.
Be careful using the screen while driving though !.
