Battery temperature

If it does, i certainly have not found it.

I think the "Thailand app" that requires a dongle in the OBD port is able to report it.

Would be handy to know the temperature for when you want to CCS charge it, and need to know if it need preheating.

I believe on a long journey, it is important to know if the batteries are overheated before putting the car on a fast charger.

The battery pack is liquid cooled, so i can not see how they would be overheating. ?

From what i have read, the car will also actively monitor the temperature and lower the power it puts into the batteries if they are to hot, so not really any chance of the batteries being damaged.

I have heard a whirring noise from the front of the ZS EV, when i have had it on a CCS fast charger, i assume this is the pump for the battery coolant, but i have never had it charge slower than expected.

Let me correct that for you;

It is important to know if the battery is too cold before putting the car on a rapid charger.

:D
That's why I'd want to see the battery temperature.

Surely if you use battery heater it only heats to a set temp so if battery is already at that temp and you switch on its just on but not active will only kick on if temp drops
So if in doubt just switch it on if it's not needed can't see how it would take power

Until there is a battery temperature reading then no-one will know! I think it pulls 7 kW when on, according to Miles' thread about charging, and so will impact range especially if you're already low. You should only be at the higher temperature when charging to speed it up. It's the high temperatures that increase battery degradation, hence the active cooling.
