I was quite surprised about the increase in fines, points etc in the UK, and the new increased fines based on your salary 🙄😟

21mph in a 20mph being reported !!

Pretty sure the fines as a percentage of income is only if it goes to court. It isn't always simple to work this out (not everyone is PAYE).

If you don't go to court, you'll just be offered a standard price to pay (starting from £100) and some points, which you can opt to accept.

Speed awareness courses are offered, but this varies with the different police authorities as to their local policies.

All the stuff he is showing is "guidance" but they can depart from it.

In terms of bans, a lot of people don't get one because they can demonstrate "exceptional hardship" and the need to use a car to get to their place of work or live a normal life.
