Bindingly obvious?

Any help on how to bind my car to the MG app?
All attempts fail when I go to scan the QR code. All I get is it is unrecognisable.
Kinda stuck, pretty sure it is rookie user error but keen to crack this binding and explore what looks to be a decent app.
Any guidance/tips?

Check out this video It relates to NZ but should be useful. The iSmart menu is different but that should not affect the binding.

Have you looked at hints and tips top of the forum? There is a link to this particular subject. Some are not using the second qr code to bind or have the screen too dark for instance. Assuming this is a brand new car and not previously owned which is a different kettle of fish..
