Bluetooth Not Connecting Automatically

Hi Everyone,
I've had my MG ZS SE since the end of March, and I am very pleased with it, apart from one niggling problem.
My phone will not connect to the car automatically via Bluetooth, and I always have to connect it manually via the vehicle.
The phone is a OnePlus 9 Android 12. I was debating whether the problem was with the phone, so I borrowed a freshly reset OnePlus 7 and paired it up, and that doesn't connect automatically either.
Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?

Check your permissions on the phone are on for bluetooth to connect automatically (just in case).

I may have fixed this problem by doing a network reset on my phone, only time will tell.
