Today I've just ordered a new Mg ZS EV from Chorley MG.
Should I be asking them not to implement the bms update from the summer due to voltage loss on the hv battery as I have heard on the podcast it affects range. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Glyn..Personally I would not have the update . I have had my car for 12 months and done 19K miles..Having had the first service and the BMS update the range is now terrible..its going in on 11th ....You may want to contact the dealer and ask for their comments...Hopefully they will be clued up and indicate that there may be problem with the BMS update in which case ask them not to action the update

Is this the summer update and not the battery heating update.

i believe so Glyn as I am led to believe from others that the battery update only came out post my service

Won't this update have already been done at the factory by now for new cars ?

According to the dealer, no it hasn't. They have now pulled the update as per mg instructions.
