Boot rattle

2023 MG5 trophy. I've got a strange rattle, seems to be coming from inside the boot lid. Anyone any ideas ? Sounds a bit like loose trim inside the boot lid. Driving me crazy when driving.

Check the screw holding the spare wheel ( or where it should be) down . Worked for me on a previous car

I'll have a look, although I think it's coming from the boot lid it's self

I once had a child drop a coin into the seat belt hole in the door pillar. It worked it's way down to the sills and rolled back and forward for days. I couldn't get near it so in the end I pumped a load of engine oil into the area and never heard it again.
I did leave a few oily spots on the driveway for a while but it was worth it.

Search the forum for a solution involving tape over a part. It's probably for a different model, but the boot lock is probably similar if not identical.

Check it's not the boot lid stoppers that need adjusting.
