Can anyone confirm or deny if the brake lights come on when you take your foot off the gas and it goes into regen?

As far as I remember from what I've read here the rear brake lights come on IF the deceleration is really significant.

Search this forum for retardation rate and you'll find previous posts of mine (one or more of which link to the laws/regulations requiring this). If the retardation rate (i.e. how quickly the car slows down) exceeds 1.3 m/s^2 then the brake lights must come on.

How would you know if they come on, you can't exactly work that out while driving.

I'm just wondering if some of the cars around here have regen and I'm just following the regen brake lights or someone who's braking unnecessarily instead of changing down.

Hi having driven my MG3 Trophy for over 1000 miles now and loving it , l sometimes find cars behind close up when l am slowing due to reg braking. Does anyone know if the brake lights operate when the car is slowing ?

Regen Braking Brake Lights ??

While driving in Regen 3 mode today l was pipped a couple of times from drivers following me , l presume it’s because my brake lights are not coming on under braking. Does anyone know for certain if they do come on or not please ?
