Hi if you drive your EV short or long drives and always use the high settings on regen or 1 pedal driving , turn it off on 1 in every 5 or 6 journeys so the normal braking systems get a bit of use and service. Alot of EVs have electric parking brakes and some EVs get little use so they tend to be parked a lot . This can often cause calipers to seize as of little use or service.

Yes but my understanding, is that regen setting has little effect on friction brake use.
Turn regen off and apply the brakes, the power meter will still go negative as much as if you're in OPD.

The only ways to be sure you're using friction brakes, is at 100% charge, in reverse or in neutral.

I was going to start a thread about the best way to manage your brakes to prevent rust, after my experience at my 2-year service, and this seems as good a place as any.

Fire away with your suggestions.
