Hi everyone,

I really need to get some new rubber mats for the front of my MG5, as the previous owner has made a right mess of them.

I seem to have these fixings for the mats, but on both sides one of the "twisting" clips seems to be missing.

Has anyone bought rubber mats for there MG5 that would be compatible with the clips I have? (and did you get new clips with the set?)

Edit: can you buy new clips separately from the mats?

Many thanks in advance 👍

That's the clip I'm missing as well.

if you have or know someone with a 3D printer then this is what I printed and it fits the MG4 perfectly so should fit other MG's

Hiya. I don't have access to a 3D printer 😢

I bought some 3D printed ones off etsy - they are broke immediately - wrong settings no doubt)

I'm in contact with my local MG parts department. They're not sure they can source the clips separately. Could take ten for them to get a response from HQ 🤣

I got the Etsy ones as well. The first one broke but was also very difficult to get in, I suspect there was part of the old clip in the hole as the second one went in fine and is still going strong.

I cleaned all of the floor mountings for the clips, but to no avail. I even tried popping them in, already turned.

Hi everyone,

I have been in touch with another MG parts department who have given me a part number that is compatible with the MG5 (it's the same things as used in the MG3 and MG6)

The part comes in two pieces. How do you get the old ones out?! 😩

Sorry the double post, but I've solved the clip issue.

I bought two of the (10048804-ASA) clips from Brown and Gammons. £11 for two Inc. P&P.

The clips come in two parts, but for the life of me I couldn't get the old one apart.

I noticed that the top part of the clip that you turn has two prongs that you can squeeze together with small long-nose pliers. Then it's just a case of drawing it out with a thin flat screwdriver.

Clean out the old section on the carpet, as the clips tend to shatter in there, and push the new part into it.

Job done 👍
