Burning plastic smell when setting off.

Hi

I have a new 2021 ZS ev and I'm generally very pleased with it. However, I'm concerned by the burning plastic smell each time i start the engine. Its distictive, but doesn't last long. Does anyone have any experience of this, or have any advice?

The EV doesn't have an engine
Are you talking about a petrol ZS?

If it is the EV version, do you have the heater on? This will cause a slight burning smell as it burns off any settled dust. (Petrol/deisel cars have engines, EV's have motors)

Hi, I also experience this recently also now starting to use heater. I normally start heating before I get in car but the times I start it when I get in I also get this burring smell.

Thought it may be outside or brakes but now I guess I was right it the heater.
