Buying at one dealer and asking another dealer to snag it?

Am tempted to chase cars in stock and buy if one comes available even if I have to travel a long distance to get it.

Given high demand for these cars I think my local dealer (with whom I have an MG4 order but no delivery date) would be happy to release my order to someone else and do my scheduled servicing in future. In these circumstances is my local dealer required to do any snagging in the first few weeks eg software tweaks etc? Do they get a bit sniffy?

You need to ask your local dealer but there is no reason in principle why it should be a problem.
