Cancer Screening

2nd Stage now done, tastes of Almonds, really strong taste and I HATE Almonds with a passion. Anyway, all done so off to Lincoln County shortly for my photoshoot :)

Well, your prayer was answered 😊

Polyps were found and removed with just one looking like a future candidate for turning cancerous.
No sedation, no gas and air, the only time I was in discomfort was when they traversed the transverse colon. I was invited to change position and lie on my back, the discomfort was gone immediately.
The staff at Lincoln County Hospital were brilliant, put me at ease from the start and there was loads of banter whilst it was being done.
If anyone has the slightest concerns about this, they really need not worry, it’s nothing to worry or feel awkward about.
On the plus side, whilst I didn’t need to, I fasted for 7 days leading up to this primarily to lose weight but also to aid the bowel prep, in the 7 days I have lost 11.7 kg (25 lb) I feel better for it in many ways.

It’s good to hear good news now and then. Great news John.
Thank you. My aim in starting this thread was to encourage members not to ignore symptoms or avoid tests like this. I would have shared with everyone the outcome either way, if it had have been bad news, so be it, I've had my 3 score years and ten so i cant com[plain. Just waiting for confirmation from the path lab that the Polyps removed are in fact benign, the lady doing the procedure said in her opinion just one of them looked like it could turn cancerous in the future but dint appear to be there yet.

My friend Jay died because she was too young for the screening system in Wales. We all think that if she'd been living in Scotland she would be alive today. People who are offered a test and don't take it up really need to think again.

Remember guys cling film is your best friend. Don’t flush it flick it then put cling film in the non recyclable bin (green in south London) so the council told me.
