Finally had a reply about my insurance from Beam From the AA.

We confirm that we noted on our records that your car is a MG ZS Hybrid+ Petrol.

Not sure what the fuss is about. I’m picking up my ZS trophy tomorrow and last week I did a comparison site quote. I’m 69 with 9 yrs NCD ( provable).

Cheapest quote £352 with ncd protection plus total £600 excess, 8000 miles pa.

This was with Performance Direct (aka Grove&Dean).

I phoned them with my as yet unrecognised reg plate and they were happy to insure me . It’s with Allianz.

Its described as MG MOTOR UK ZS HYBRID TROPHY on the insurance.

When you get it and on the back of the car it's a Hybrid+, I just didn't want them to be able to wiggle out IF I ever need to claim on insurance.
When you get insurance forms they always tell you to contact them if any of the details are wrong, so I did.

I understand your caution, I was really responding to people’s difficulty in getting insurance.

As for the lack of +, I take comfort from the fact that there has never been any other ZS hybrid before this one.
