I have a Multi-Car policy with LV, I just rang them up last week, told them of the the change and they charged me £90 to change from two self-charging Kia Niros to two brand new IM5s (one standard and one long range). This will take me through to renewal in August 2026. There's a high excess, but I could have chosen to lower it, but decided to wait until August and shop around (if necessary).

Insurance - It's an issue and a half. The spread is hard to fathom but, on a long-range IM5 for a
74 year-old, clean licence, living in Poole. Churchill Essentials is £1375 whilst Hastings is £478.
I mention these two because they have both been mentioned previously on insurance threads.

It's a bit of a minefield, and as someone commented, no wonder 10% of drivers remain uninsured !!!
Churchill won't actually even quote me due to the 'over 350bhp' rule (don't ask!).
Hastings were cheaper initially but when checking out found lots of additional things to add which took it to £600ish. Finally went to LV who quoted £565 and honoured that at checkout - and it includes windscreen cover - if anyone is in doubt, please ensure it's included since replacing the screen in an IM5 is going to be EXPENSIVE.
