Car Just Stops

Good Evening

I have a new shape 2024 MG HS Trophy automatic and its my first MG.
Could you please help me and advise if im doing something incorrectly.
I have started the car and the car is n neutral the automatic parking brake is on and autohold is off. When i release the parking brake then release the foot brake the car roles forward then i start to accelerate. About 10 seconds later the car stops abrupyly for no reason its as if ive slamed on the brakes.
I then start the above procedure again and its all ok now.
This happens every time i start the car

I dont know if im doing something incorrectly but surely stopping like it does isnt right.

Any advice and help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance

I don’t drive the HS Hybrid+ but I have the “similar” HS PHEV and have never heard of this before, so something is obviously wrong, and it definitely should not be happening.

Has this been a characteristic from new or something that has just started to happening?

With the recent cold weather, could it possibly be some sort of ice obscurity of the front facing camera or the radar sensor on the front grill.

This is not lightly, however, as I suspect it would have been reported by another owner by now. (I suppose I am grasping at straws)

I would suggest an urgent visit to the agent as a dangerous fault: covered under the 7-year warrantee.
