CarPlay won’t play.

I use a TomTom app on Carplay for my Satnav. Works very well. However if I also use a streaming app for music/radio the Carplay drops out. It can’t seem to cope with two functions at once. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you using a cable for cornnection to car play.

Yes. Connected by cable. Not sure if I can connect to CarPlay by Bluetooth. I can stream music apps via Bluetooth.

Need a new cable from apple, I use a cplay2air dongle which work well to connect by Bluetooth and fit under the flap where you plug in but need a usb adapter right handed one. There are post on here with photos to look at.

Good news is that it is now sorted. Initially I was unable to use Tom Tom Satnav and stream music, such as Spotify, through CarPlay at the same time. I was using a generic cable plugged into the USB port and think this might have been the problem.
I have now tried using the iPhone 13 cable with an adapter so it fits the USB port. Now I can stream music/radio apps as well as using the Tom Tom app through CarPlay. So it appears that the genuine Apple 13 cable is essential.
