So the price of electricity is falling, but WTF is going on with the cost of public charging, the chargers near me seem to have a mind of their own, podpoint 99p kw/h (was 79p), Revive 69p kw/h (was in the 50's), shell recharge 85p kw/h (was 79p), surely the prices should be coming down not going up, this will help with the governments move to EV...... NOT

Do you think peope are using an ICE for a long trip as it's cheaper and less hassle?
Are the people keeping the rapid price up company car drivers?

Or is this the same national grid fiasco that means the cost of electricity is linked to the most expensive way to make electricity (currently gas) using gas prices therefore lets make the cost of electricity linked to the cost of fuel (as that seems a good idea [especially if you're profiting from cars]). Anyone with any ideas????

QLeo said that his local Council decided to charge more for the chargepoints it operates and used £1.80 a litre as its petrol comparison price!

We have Podpoint chargers next to Lidl and they are not used very much due to the price, when will the operators start to understand that if they want their expensive chargers to be used then start being more transparent and realistic with the prices, I have steered a few people away from these chargers due to the price, people are unaware of the cost unless it is more transparent. 99p per kwh btw is equiv to around twice that of petrol per mile if you assume around 3-4 miles per kwh. If anyone sees anyone using expensive chargers and they know there are cheaper make it you duty nearly to show cheaper alternatives
