I have a chargemaster charger which I got free when I purchased my Renault Zoe.
I am on Octopus Go tariff. Is there any way I can charge my MG5 without staying up until 12.30

I have no idea what the Chargemaster Charger looks like but something like a smart breaker like this might work.

There is a Chargemaster app called Chargevision which on the surface initially looks impressive but it rarely works. I definitely wouldn't rely upon it. Unfortunately Chargemaster has gone down hill since BP Pulse took over. They are not interested in the domestic market, or even the public network compared to people like Gridserve.

You could also install a Wi-Fi relay inside of your older dumb unit.
This ( via a free downloadable App ) will give you control over your off peak charging requirements.
Sonoff and Shelly produce these relays and are very affordable at around £20 ish.
I will try and include a link to somebody using one of the Shelly relays inside of their older type dumb Rolec wall box.
