Charging port self locks when plugged in.

I must say I like the way the charging port locks itself and the car starts charging, as soon as I plug in my home charger on the MG5. It's far simpler than my ZS where you have to actually lock the car to lock in the plug and start the charge.

I don't have to do that with my ZS EV. Plug in and walk away!

Same here - plug in the gun and it locks in place without me doing anything, charge starts as well.

Mine's not had the charge unlocked BMS update.
I have no need to charge unlocked but that feature would make it worth having the update.

Haven’t had to lock car since update done on ZS.

Same here, plug into car, then charging unit and it locks, to unlock press unlock button and remove plug from car straight-a-way other wise it relocks.
