Charging power on 22 kW charger

Just checked on friend's 3 phase cable - it goes to almost 11 kW on 22 kW charger. Seems I need to buy a proper cable now

Why was the car supplied without the correct cable ?
The MG4 11kw came with a 16a 3 phase 5m cable as standard .

@OriginalBigAl, That cable would be ok if you were only ever charging on three 3 phase, 11 and 22kW public charge points, so they’ve supplied the correct cable for France.
In the UK however these aren't very common compared to 7kW charge points and home EVSE, In which case you'd only charge at around 3.4kW on a 16A cable.
To be able to charge in the UK at both 7kW single phase, and 11kW three phase you'd need to buy a 32A (22kW) cable.

@RederOr, When I got my MG4, before delivery a bought a 32A single phase cable, only to find out that MG had got the spec wrong in the brochure, and infact the LR in the early days came with 3 phase 11kW charging. I haven't bothered to change the cable as most public charge points as I said before are only 7kW anyway.
