Climate control access

I have an MG4 long range Trophy. Is there a way of bringing up climate control on the steering wheel controls? On the screen it takes several button presses and it drops off as soon as I touch one control so I need to go in again to make further adjustments which takes my attention dangerously off the road. On one journey the right toggle button suddenly accessed it but I've never been able to recreate how.

You can map a Star button (there are 2 on the steering wheel - Left and Right) to the HVAC controls. Logically you'd map the Right button, as the HVAC controls (when the popup display is showing) are made using the Right joystick ... up/down for temperature and left/right for fan speed.

As it happens though, since I got updates last November (2nd service of my SE) I find the HVAC works really well now in Auto, so I never need to adjust it anyway.

And it only takes on click on the top of the screen to open up the AC screen. You do not need to navigate a lot
