Hi,

I’m a new MG5 owner and when I’ve pulled back the Pilot stick twice, I’m constantly getting pings about “Lane Keeping Assist System Shut Down”, and less frequently “MG Pilot System Shut Down”. I have these all turned on in the Car menu - is this normal behaviour or is something faulty?

Presumably you are using this on a motorway and have set the speed before pulling back twice ?

...and the lines on the road are all OK, easy to follow ? Just the obvious questions not trying to teach anyone how to suck eggs. It will of course shut off if you brake and LKA off if you indicate etc, see handbook.
Also check nothing obscuring the camera and the radar.
If all appears well get dealer to have a look and demonstrate if you can.

I turned the lane assist off at the suggestion of the dealers. It's more for motorway with definite white lines instead of through town driving. He was dead right as I sneakily turned it back on on my first day to just see if it was overkill. It's not! It needs to be off in town!
