Thats messed up. Shouldn't be anything over £300 quid. On a lighter note someone just cracked the top speed for Cybersters. Cybersters speedos are very accurate apparently. Looks a bit downhilly. Its Germany, apparently. I rhymed.

Got a test drive on the yellow GT today. Theres some interest as its the cheapest going. Apparently theyve resprayed the stone chips and patched it up. Yellow is not easy to look at up close. Im hesitant but the price seems ok. Just that miles are high for a demo.

Realistically as its yellow i think it will hold value better than other colors. Either way could be a 6k depreciation over next year.

If I was currently looking, I'd have got out and dusted off my 12ft bargepole at "resprayed and patched up!!!" Seriously, RUN!!, There's others out there with only a couple of hundred miles on them for a couple of grand more (pre haggle!)

Could be £6k depreciation over the next year?!, it'll be a miracle if it's that little...

Depends how good it's been done. And how cheap it is. Very much doubt the advert said "resprayed and patched up"
If it did then Defo do a Runner.
Agree, with the 6k depreciation, though, could be more than that. Time will tell.
🙂👍

Not for me, On a car costing £50k and only a few months old, I'm not having any sort of touching up at all. This one's probably a better prospect, only £1.5k more (pre haggle) and less than a 10th of the miles.

Agree. It's up to the OP to shop around.
That one does look excellent, for just £1.5k more, and such low miles, it's a no brainer. 🙂👍

I test drove it. It drives nice. Launched it... ridiculous. I had a look didn't see any stone chips. Car wasnt clean though. Seats need shampooing. Too many drivers i think.

Youre right in fact one came up 400 miles today in red. Dual motor in Bedford. Private sale, £49850

As predicted going into year 2 a sharp drop possibly. Then hard top comes out it might affect it too.

That just came up today probably. Its all the way past lake district 😂. But a good example with few miles. For a demo on the Salisbury one its heavy mileage. It should be at 46k in all honesty

Nah but the sales guy did say as a demo it would pick up a few chips which i couldn't see. They would clean it up and spray it of need be. The car not being clean didnt help. There was a sold red trophy and a cream one in the showroom.

Mileage was 5890

Yeah told the sales guy the price needs to come down considering the mileage. Low and behold 3 are going around similar price with 3-4.5k miles less. I think 6000 mile one should be listed at £47k.

I reckon in September there will be around 10 of these at that price range of 49k. Not many used Trophy Cybersters. Think people are happier with them and most of the demos are GT.

We'll wait and see, but I think you continue to be optimistic! Current pricing is an act of gravity defiance and won't last. I reckon most of the GT's sticking around for sale in the £52k to £53k range will move down to £49,995 very soon and by September if most remain slow selling at that price, they'll be advertised at around £45k, ready to go for £42k after a good haggle.

Remember, as most of these get towards a year old, even just scrubbing off the 20% VAT, which goes as soon as a car is driven off the forecourt, plus another modest 20%, depreciation off the net figure would have them at £40k. Only high demand sellers or special collectibles ever beat that and used Cyberster's aren't in demand or selling very fast from what I've seen so far.

One reason for slow used sales is most likely the finance interest cost on used cars is way higher than PCP on new ones in the current market and there's not many cash buyers about.

It's definitely partly wishful thinking on my part as I want a bargain, but I'm thinking it's not entirely unrealistic to think we'll be seeing £30k GT's towards the end of 2026, once late autumn weather gets here and by that I mean nice well maintained lower mileage cars, not just the odd higher mileage dog. ;)

😅 Glynn Hopkins posted two cars at different sites St Albans and Milton Keynes 50,600 and increased them overnight to 52,473 or so thinking anyone will fall for that. The one i went to see i didn't see on there. Possibly sold not sure.

2 year old car at 30k not so sure. i expect the depreciation to be at mid 30s at worst going into summer 2027. Next year September i wouldn't expect it any lower than 38k unless its a Trophy. I expect depreciation to slow in the summer. The interest is high. There was a time you could get the used PCP at 6.9% and new for 3% Doesn't seem like that will happen anytime soon.

Kids at 2:10 reminds me of my old 370Z. Good thing they didn't ask for a rev 😂

Not relevant to the Cyberster, but as you mentioned the 370Z (I used to have a 300ZX back in the 90's!) thought you might find this moderately interesting, it seems to be the spiritual successor to the 240Z, a car I didn't even know existed! If I could still stomach owning Petrol cars, I'd have considered getting one of these, it's lovely and the rarity of it really appeals to me.

This New Z has been for sale for 3-4 months. First at 55k then 50k then auction. No ones willing to pay over the odds when a new one is 36k in Japan and thats the sport touring. With nismos sitting in Japan for 48k upwards. People are smart to wait. The guy thought he could make a 15k profit putting it at 55k. A guy called chris drift paid 46k for his earlier this year via torque GT.

Had 4 zeds no point going back. Lol

48k Cyberster

This guy has no context. The running cost on these supercars would be more than monthly payments on a Cyberster. Petrol, insurance, tax, service, tyres, brakes and repairs could easily hit 10k on any of those supercars.

Yeah you could get a lot but Cyberster is cheaper to run cost aside.
