I'm confused about the 60th birthday. On my Cyberster it says it's for the 100th birthday ;)
The brand is 100, the MGB GT car (below) turns 60 in October.

Good stuff. What we want to see. I cant see the rear lights changing but people are free to modify it as they wish.

Be interesting to see how the rear hatch opens. If its just the glass, glass and trunk lid on a hinge or just trunk lid itself.

From Chinese forum

"The Coupé was reportedly named the Cyberster GTS, and it was also revealed that the scissor doors would be changed to swing doors and a four-seater version. And gave a weight comparison, GTS 1.8 tons, compared to the convertible version of 1.985 tons, this seems to be the weight of the four-wheel drive version, with this weight reduction estimate The rear-wheel drive version is expected to enter less than 1.7 tons"

Shame to lose the, Scissors. ✂️ 🙁

It's looking like they're still wanting to release it with normal doors and redesigned rear cluster due to criticism. No word on cancellation. I'm not sure they'll make October in UK though, we shall see. It's very much under wraps. They've just released the 2026 Cyberster model in China. They could potentially sell double the number of Cybersters with the coupe.

I think they should try the newer semi solid state battery in the coupe.

SAIC should look into a smaller, lighter 2 seater coupe with box battery behind the driver like the delayed Porsche Cayman....if CATL are willing to do it...allowing a lower seating position should be looked into in future. That could be placed above the Cyberster in terms of Halo model. Alpine, Caterham and Longbow are planning to release theirs in 2026/2027. Weights being around 950-1400kg.

Redesigned rear light clusters, if the mountings stays the same, might be interesting. Could be a nice option for those with the Cyberster who don't like the arrows to upgrade to.

Although time consuming im sure there are lighting companies out there that could design something for Cyberster owners. Obviously at a cost. Its not helped by the shape of the outer panel. The swooping Audi LED indicator effect on a horizontal lamp would be nice. Maybe keep the upper part of the arrow but a slight redesign so it doesn't resemble the arrow design. Something more sleek. ________\ or ------------] or ______ or =======\ or ======= or =====O
