Hi all
First full post as we picked up our new Hybrid + this month.

I have been searching this forum and others to see if anyone had posted pictures of trim removal to fit a dash cam but struggling to find. I have fitted many to past cars (and our other car) but have always had a bit of peace of mind seeing someone’s explanation/pics/video before ripping off A pillars and other trim!

For those who have hard wired successfully I have two questions:

1. Does the ‘end’ panel of the dash at the right hand side ‘pop out’ easily to bring the wire through from the fuse area to then go up near the driver’s door?

2. Is the A pillar including the dreaded nanny state monitor easy to pop off to run up to the headlining?

I have the camera already so will probably take the plunge this weekend anyway but thought I’d ask in case anyone had the knowledge on these things.

Any responses greatly appreciated!

Kind of you to reply/post – thank you.

I did in fact proceed to fit mine after asking the question. Did it fairly conventionally as I have fitted in previous cars by taking a fuse tap/hardwire and then running up the A pillar which turned out not to be too difficult.

A bit of info for anybody reading this that is going to attempt it. I used an ignition live only fuse gap(top left of the fuse box) which was a micro3 apparently! This was a new one on me but I can say that all the fuse taps out there do not fit the MG fuse box without modification.

I am told it is a very new fuse type and other than fitting MGs is common in some new affords (transit vans) which fit, again I am told, without issue. I had to carefully shave down the plastic “shoulders“ so that it fitted, basically making the plastic housing the same size as an actual fuse, which I would’ve thought it should’ve been in the first place🙈 anyway all done and working now👍
