Can anyone in the south of England recommend somewhere that fits dash cams? I have an MG4. Halfords were useless and the Richmond MG dealership wanted £156 per hour for labour. I got the dash cam for Christmas so it would be nice to be able to use it! I know there are guides out there but I’m not confident enough to fit it myself.

you could always just plug the dashcam into a cigarette lighter plug.
no need to pay for installation then.
The only downside is that the dashcam won't have power when the car is parked.

I've been considering fitting a Dash Cam to mine and was looking at hard wiring a power feed from the rear view mirror or internal light (I have a 5v3A convertor with USB B-Mini connector) - any tips on removing either shrouds would be helpful. Do they just prise off? I have a heavy hand and prone to breaking things

The ceiling unit comes off very easily ... open the glasses holder and remove the 2 screws, then gently prise that end of the unit down. (Trim tools/spudgers are handy for this). The other end of the unit is held in place via spring clips. :)

That's very helpful thank you! (y)🙂
