Dash cam installation

Can anyone in the south of England recommend somewhere that fits dash cams? I have an MG4. Halfords were useless and the Richmond MG dealership wanted £156 per hour for labour. I got the dash cam for Christmas so it would be nice to be able to use it! I know there are guides out there but I’m not confident enough to fit it myself.

you could always just plug the dashcam into a cigarette lighter plug.
no need to pay for installation then.
The only downside is that the dashcam won't have power when the car is parked.

You might be better asking in your town's local Facebook group. (Assuming that you haven't already). There's nothing really special about fitting a dashcam to an EV vs an ICE car.

I've been considering fitting a Dash Cam to mine and was looking at hard wiring a power feed from the rear view mirror or internal light (I have a 5v3A convertor with USB B-Mini connector) - any tips on removing either shrouds would be helpful. Do they just prise off? I have a heavy hand and prone to breaking things

The ceiling unit comes off very easily ... open the glasses holder and remove the 2 screws, then gently prise that end of the unit down. (Trim tools/spudgers are handy for this). The other end of the unit is held in place via spring clips.
