Hi,
Post is basically the title. New IM6 (Thailand) with one phone bound to the car and the digital key is working fine. When we go to share the key to a second phone, the key is successfully shared but the key won't connect to the car. Bluetooth connection is fine but the key throws an "unable to connect" message. Has anybody run into this? Thanks!

Not according to the specs. Probably ten meters away through two reinforced concrete walls. I'll try it again with a further distance.

The digital key uses Bluetooth LE (low energy) and so requires the phone to be close to the car - same as for having the key in your pocket and using the door buttons. The main BT connection is for media etc. only, not for vehicle interaction. :)

Yes, but that doesn't explain why the digital key won't connect to the car. The key shows authorized but refuses to connect to the car.

Only other thing I can think of is try a 3rd phone to see if it works. Just to make sure it's not your 2nd phone that is the problem.

Sorry for such an obvious question but is the second phone paired with the car ?

This might be totally wrong but I had the impression only one MG app could be logged into the cars account at anyone time! Try logging out of your account & make sure the other MG app is logged in on the other phone. I think it's a safety thing. You don't want some else having control of your car at the same time as you.
