Dodgy Type 2 Cable?

Hi All, anyone experienced a dodgy type 2 cable that was supplied by the dealer? 5 times out of 10 when i charge using a public charger, it does not work, I first thought its the charger but seeing other cars even other MG can charge when I cannot, i borrowed another known working cable and its been spot on so far ..

The original cable looks fine but anyone experience problem with them? will the dealer replace the cable? car is merely 6 months old ... (so is the cable). The problem is that it is not completely defective but has its moments.

Just return it to the dealer if it not 'fit for purpose '.
