Hey all.

For the second time I’ve been pulled over by someone to tell me my Cyberster is broken because the brake lights are flashing like a disco.

It was mentioned to me before but I assumed it was the one pedal driving trying to keep the car at a low speed, but I was told today it happens at high speed too.

My partner spotted a Cyberster the other day and said it was doing the same very briefly.

It'll be because the radar detects some approaching from the rear too fast. Typically it gets triggered by motorcycles going down the middle in traffic while you are stationary.

It's not a fault, it's a feature!

Humm it sounds plausible but I was in stationary traffic today and no one was anywhere near me (other half was following) at the previous time.

So I’m not sure that’s the cause

Is it when the regen comes on?

Get someone to follow you and flash their lights every time it happens , might help identify the cause. ? Or even be in contact by one or two of those new fangled mobile phone things.

It is great it stops people tailgating you too close. Had a van do it today and they backed away.

I’ve got a ZS Hybrid + and sometimes I’ve noticed when I’m stationary at traffic lights I can see in the reflection of the paint work of the car in front of me my hazard lights flash very quickly. I have since found out that it’s a feature from MG that it’s warning a car behind me is approaching fast.

I’ve done some quick basic checks with a car following me - it looks like it’s to do with the regen braking.

Trying to get a clear video for MG to look at but it is often, distracting, and repeatable.

The way it was described to me was as if there was a loose connection, the lights were ‘flickering’ rather than ‘flashing’

From my understanding there should a driver alert too (which I’ve seen once on the motorway) if this activates but I never get it when this has been activated recently.

That makes sense if only the rear lights are flashing, but in my case, I've noticed that sometimes when I'm stopped at a traffic light, the front lights also flash. Could it be because I'm getting too close to the car in front of me? Has this happened to anyone else?

Appears to be like one of those , self obsessed , panicky, neurotic people that sometimes shout in supermarkets, " get away, don't touch me, stop invading my personnel space." in loud hysterical tones...... S,pose it works but quite embarrassing.

Hi there I have a similar problem with the indicators they flash all four at random times, I thought recently it was because someone was coming up to me fast from behind but it's done it when no one else was near me, flashes about 3/4 times then stops, annoying also having the problem with car play, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't another problem is at time the right screen goes to outside camera and you can get it off. All things are annoying but the indicators are dangerous like that as cars behind me brake suddenly when they flash for no reason.

Itll put people off tailgating and coming up crazy fast to see what car it is. Most annoying thing about a car like this. My previous car it was very annoying...
