Hi all, I am looking to put the black badges over the chrome ones on the MGS5.

The car is a work car and I want to make sure that when it does go back they can be removed without any damage to the original bages? Has anyone done this?

I have tried to find the answer elsewhere but haven't been able to.

Thanks

LK

Heating the area with a heatgun, gently so you don't blister the black stick on or the paint around it, and the black stick on cover comes off easily.
This works the same for any stick on bit, like the re-engineered M4 BMW stickers to read MG4 and the BMW coloured bars after it, and the coloured bars to fit the front grille ......
This upgrade allows you to remove the mirrors (no longer required on a BMW), forget about ever using the indicators again and driving in the fast lane while flashing your lights to tell any inferior car owner to get their heap of junk out of the BMW lane .....
As an added bonus, those lines marked in parking areas are for the inferior brand car to follow, they do not apply to BMW owners .....

Good morning @Shredder101, welcome to MGEVs.

In most cases, the black MG badges are stick-on overlays using double sided adhesive tape, and don't cause any damage because you don't need to remove the existing badges.

As @MG Clive says they are black stick on overlays. They can be removed by heating them up with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive.

Nope, won't cause any damage at all.
(Unless you attack um with a screwdriver)
Just follow the advice in the above posts.

And.
