Does the MG3+ struggle with hills?

There have been no posts on this subject for over a week. Is this an indication that the previously described update being rolled out by MG is resolving the problem?

I don't believe "the" update has been released yet. There has been no universal rollout, and certainly I'm not aware of MG announcing that any such software update is yet available. What we need is for those who have had some sort of update is to make sure the dealership provide chapter and verse of what has been done including which particular piece of software has been updated, the software level prior to the update, the software level after the update and the MG description of what the update is expeced to achieve so that others can determine at what level their own vehicles are at with a quick visit to the dealers.

mine did that, when it was set to cruise control for 60 mph, the car slowed to a stop to let another car turn right, i pressed the button to make it go and it started to pull as it got about a third the way up the hill 30-35mph, it just would not pull anymore, I had cars behind me, so had to stick my foot on the accelerator pedal, just to get a move on, but once at the top i let my foot off the pedal and it cruised happily at 60 from there...

Spoke to my dealer about it, and they said they knew nothing about this issue, i stated I had seen it mentioned a number of times on various forums, no reply from there... I will email again today to say that there is an update coming for this problem !

Any idea when it might be ?

When was this update. I have had my MG3+ 2 weeks now and hills and hard accelleration a a problem .

Hi the latest mg 3 hybrid software was before you bought your car I had it done in September when I had my mg3 briefly unfortunately it didn't help with the over revving engine gearbox problems ? I now have the zs hybrid which is a little bit better but seemingly there has been a new software update announced for that vehicle in Australia New Zealand to reduce over revving going up hills etc .I've asked mg UK and the dealership when it will be launched in the UK , and guess what they don't know what IAM talking about ? Even though the CEO Australia announced the update? So I would imagine in the new year sometime for the zs hybrid no announcement for the 3 hybrid yet ?
