A bonus when I switched from ZS EV(1st gen) to MG5 (FL) was I thought estate flexibilty. Today, preparing a run to the rubbish tip, I put the rear seats down. A little odd as they don't (ZS was the same) flatbed. Does yours?
I assumed weight of rubbish will push down, but did'nt want to overload. Should I try removing rear seat bottom or is that a step too far! Maybe weight alone resolves it so a non issue as that's how it is.

Yeah you need to take out the seat base and it needs a frim tug.
Mine doesn't have any connections just go easy as your FL may have.

Appreciate the advice. Will try firm/gentle approach. Thanks
There is a YouTube video showing exactly where to pull up the seat base. IT is based on the pre-facelift but the clips are in the same place. The FL has rear seat sensors so there is a small plug on each side of the seat base that needs disconnecting before you completely remove it. After doing it the first time it is a very easy job. The most time consuming part is threading the seat belt sockets back into the right place afterwards and getting them to look neat.
