New driver in Australia have had the car for a week now, about to go for a country drive to relieve the wife's "range anxiety".

I am a huge fan of OPD and have convinced my wife of the benefits. I have found the memory of OPD to be inconsistent so have done some testing.

Originally I had setup cutsom driving mode to be OPD and sport steering, my wife does not like the heavier steering so just OPD in normal for her. Every time we get back in the car it starts in normal and OPD is remembered, if I go to the main screen display and select custom, it is remebered - all OK. I then set the left star button for driving mode. This cycles through the mode from Normal to Sport, Comfort, Snow and Custom. As soon as you navigate this way as it cycles through Comfort and Snow It turns off OPD, and keeps it off as you cycle through. This also happens from the screen by selecting the modes from left to right. You cannot select OPD in Sport or Snow so there is no way to default for all profiles.

This seems to be a bug. At the very least if you have a custom mode it should be remebered.

I wonder if others in UK and Australia have this same experience.

Hi, I got mine last week after switching from a ZS (still have to update my profile on this!). I've also noticed that the regen & OPD settings in Normal & Sport change as soon as you select or cycle through Comfort Mode. I also setup OPD in Custom but it is not remembered if you cycle or select Comfort, its weird, if you go from Normal to Sport OPD or whatever regen level you select is rememberd in either of these drive modes but as soon as you goto Comfort and back it defaults to level 1.
Did you ever get any response or info on this? I was wondering if it was normal or if it needs an update or something else!

This my experience too. So I set up a steering wheel button to take me Sport (which I might need to do in a hurry, to overtake) and then I go back at leisure to Normal on the main screen by pressing Car and driving mode, which is a pain, but less bad than having to find OPD.

You're the first person to reply so it seems others are not bothered. I'm still firmly of the opinion, if you have a custom setting, it should be remembered. I have just left it in Normal and OPD for both of us.

The car only seems to remember OPD if in normal mode, i use Custom/Eco and it does not remember OPD on that setting (super annoying) Hopefully a future software update will sort that out, although i'm not holding my breath.

I have to turn it on and off each use as the missus does not like it . She was fine with regen 3 on the previous zs EV but will not drive in full One pedal driving in the S5.
