Hi all a bit of advise from more intelligent folks than me, I have now tried 2 SIM cards in my IM5 LR both have been correct in regards to the right size 128gb and class10 when I put them in for first time on screen says quick format I click yes then every time I go on to DVR on screen it says insert SIM card. Please help.

Well there's a your problem. You're supposed to be using MicroSD cards.

In all seriousness - what brands are the cards you've tried and where do you get them from (and no, Amazon is not a trusted source often)?

To be fair both were from eBay but were in original unopened packaging 1 was a scandian (cheap I guess) the other was Sony

There are apps you can download on a computer that will tell you actual capacity of an SD card.

If you purchased something that was too cheap then it’s probably low capacity but the card and packaging will say it’s larger.

Buyer beware. At least Amazon has a good returns/refund process.

Try buying one from a trusted source, I quite like https://www.mymemory.co.uk

Fake cards are a massive global problem.

You are talking about SD memory cards, not SIM cards, right? SIM (subscriber identity module) is a totally different thing.
Memory cards are readily available in electronic shops or just about everywhere, and you'll get the proper ones.
Don't buy them from Amazon, ebay, Aliexpress, Temu etc. as 90% of those are fake.
