Hi all
Sorry if these are daft questions (only had the car a week).
1. I cannot find the display to show the outside temperature. I assumed it would be on the main driver's screen but my display does not show this info.
Am I just missing something here?

2. Also is R16 the latest software version? My car although only delivered last week was pre registered in Dec 2025. It does have USB-C and wireless Android Auto.

3. Assigning the shortcut 'star' buttons I have read some people assign EV / HEV to one but I don't have that option. I do have 'driving mode' but that just changes from comfort to normal and sport?

Many thanks.

No, to be honest I did the same, there are soooo many things to look at, and soooo many bings and bongs, that after a while I get a sensory overload and don’t see or hear what I need to see or hear.
Always ask, no problem.
And also I can’t find the option about EV / HEV, I have the ‘comfort to normal and sport’, and the breaking regeneration (1 or 2).

Hi. On this Forum never be afraid to ask, there are a lot of people on here, and most of us will have probably wondered about exactly the same things that you’re asking about.
There is an app, ‘MG smart’ which is quite good, it shows the internal temp, but very often looses it. Mine very often shows -35C when it’s +8. But apart from that it is very useful.

The MG Ismart app would be useful if it worked reliably. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Sadly, after a few hours, the car is often no longer accessible because it goes into deep sleep mode. You then have to unlock the car with the remote control first. Of course, that doesn’t make much sense if the car isn’t within range of the remote control.

Unfortunately for us, Scottish power use the app to charge the vehicle by turning it on and off when they have their ‘green slots’.
This is fine during the day as we can keep the car ‘awake’ to start the charging, but we have never had a successful night charge.
We are so glad that they give us the 6p a unit rate during the day.
So with that and the fact that the cars headlights, come on and off repeatedly for 30 secs every 5 minutes during the night, we can’t charge it then as the car is facing our neighbours across the road bedroom.
Scottish power say that the app is in beta, so we hope it will improve sometime, and the nighttime disco will be looked at in June which is the earliest our garage can book it in……

Unfortunately, I don’t quite understand what this Scottish Power app has to do with the MG app?? I suppose it’s the app for their charger. I don’t really understand what the MG app has to do with it, though...
The fact that the headlights come on whilst charging is down to the MG software, not the charger. The MG iSmart app has no interface with Wallbox software.
