So this morning I have tried two different ccs chargers and failed to charge on both. Never had a problem before the only thing I have done different is I charged with the granny charger the night before. I normally charge with a 7kW at home. Any ideas as I am 175 miles from home with 60 miles on the GOM.

Is that two chargers on the same site or on different sites? If the former, I'd try a different location.
You could also try a quick 12V disconnect to reboot everything.

I have done a 12v disconnect and will be heading to a charger in the next hour. Fingers crossed it will work but I have already tried to different chargers but not since the 12v reset

Thanks to all the 12v disconnect seems to have worked. I am now charging in one it failed on this morning. I will now add a 10mm spanner to the car for future issue😉. Unfortunately it does mean I missed some of the event I was at to make sure it worked before my 175 mile trip.

To be honest, i have thought hard about installing an actual 12V battery disconnect/cut off switch in the engine bay.

My wife would not be happy with having to use the spanner to release the negative connector from the battery, but if it was some sort of "hand twist to disconnect" she would be able to.

It's her car so she is most likely to encounter something where a hard reset is needed.

There are quite a few options on eBay and Amazon - or AliExpress if you want to pay half price for the same thing.

Not sure if that affects warranty so maybe best to look for something that can be removed for annual service...

Maybe you need to find out why it needs a battery disconnect as this is not normal.
Actually there are quite a few threads here where people have had to do it.
It's a computer after all, and from the time computers first appeared, the first thing to fix any fault has always been, "do a reset" Just needs astray cosmic ray to get in the system and all hell can break loose.

Would 100% agree with you if every car did it but if they don't then there must be something different.

Just my thoughts after a spending 50+ years working on and with computers.

So I guess we need to see if there's something common with the ones that do need a reset, that could point a finger at where to start looking.
But my my small experience with intermittent computer glitches, says it could be time intensive.

yes, would be impossible to trace... half the time we do something wrong without knowing what we did wrong, sometimes it's the charger and not the car, sometimes it's just ... something... I was on a Tesla charger once, charged without any problems; next day took me 5-10 min fiddling with the same charger trying to start the charge and it turns out the local mobile phone mast was overwhelmed with tens of thousands of people attending the local music festival ...

I have a 12v isolator switch fitted and recently had to use it when I had problems with CCS chargers. It got me out of trouble. I'm so glad I fitted it because you can almost guarantee that the next time it's needed will be on a dark rainy night when you really don't want to be mucking about with spanners.

Check next time you not set a charge time in the charging screen in the information screen.
