Just back from another Edinburgh to Leicester round trip no issues with the Tesla chargers at Adderstone (Purdy Lodge) and Harrogate (Weetons Garden Centre). Turn up, plug in and start charge on the Tesla app, high 130kW/h under 50% state of charge and 70-50 kW/h when over 50%

It was in OPD, I don’t really use anything else TBH. As soon as it’ll let me enable it I’m on that. Usually scares the shizz out of me the first couple of junctions when I can’t enable it

Re-gen level 3 , but it has a "s" symbol. Not seen that before?

Mine always says "S" - no idea what it refers to. Someone said it indicated that the car was in Sport mode but mine says "S" even in Normal. I've never seen it display anything else.

Ah, thanks. One day I'll get around to reading the manual, probably. That explains why mine always has "S" shown, OPD is one of the few 'sticky' settings that I don't have to mess with every time I get in the car.

Ours collected a few too!

We went home via Cropthorne, near Evesham and added a bit of charge at Stafford services on the way back home.

Dropped into Mum's, as my Uncle, who was ill when we were away, sadly died. Mum didn't tell me, but when we got to my sister's, she told me then.

Once home, I totted up the miles. In total, we had driven 894 miles.

Mine's an early 2024 model. I bought it early 2025 so it had obviously been hanging around waiting for a buyer for some time. Haven't check the software updates, just assumed some of them had been done because the car doesn't exhibit too many of the annoyances.
As far as OPD goes, the only thing that resets it on my car, as far as I can see, is cycling the mode through Snow. I usually go from Normal at startup, through Sport then to Custom. If I make a mistake and go past Custom, it'll reset OPD. Otherwise it just stays the way I set it.

Glad to hear you got home safely. There's nothing like a long road trip to increase your confidence in public charging and push range anxiety to the sideline

I bet you'll need to give it a good clean now !

I'm very happy with how things went, despite the fact I left my Electroverse card at home. And the back-up Electroverse card (Mrs S's one) was also forgotten! Arrrghhh!

But Mrs S is adamant we will get a hybrid next time round, because she hates hanging around for the charging.

What's the chances of this tech improving things by the time we get our next car next July?
