First road trip (Welsh coast)

So I'm looking at a trip over to Barmouth from the midlands, shouldn't be a problem getting there but doesn't look to be that many chargers around (according to zapmap) and those that are there all seem to be pretty slow or quite expensive (looking at charging before heading home).

I'm thinking is it worth it going down to Aberystwyth for a Tesla super charger? what other chargers would you recommend? and do i need to download apps, or are they just contactless?

Any advice or thoughts appreciated, going in about 10 days time.

I wouldn't be driving 40 miles to a charger at Aberystwyth but would stop there if passing through.

Barmouth looks like it has an Instavolt (expensive!) as well as x9 eVolt 50kW chargers near the station which are around 70p according to Electroverse.

If you eat anything in the open air in Barmouth, watch out for the evil seagulls... They are awful.

Are you staying somewhere you could fill up overnight?

I now look for places to stay that have a charger - it is often a filter option.

Will you be anywhere close to here ?.
Tesco have chargers at this site, I know because I have seen them last year.
Chargers are few and far between around that part of Wales.
You could pop in and do some shopping while you are waiting, then set off for home ?.
