Just wondering, I've been quoted £99 for my first service, ist a fair price or to much?

I remember seeing someone here last autumn saying they wouldn't take their car to MG for servicing as they thought it a rip off, because there wasn't much to service. But you get another year of AA (and a bear I understand)

I pay 11 quid a month for service plan at MG Silverlink North Tyneside.. That's service, AA cover every year, and courtesy car anytime.

£81 in Bristol with renewed AA membership and free Morris the bear.

Worth remembering location has a lot to do with pricing. The hourly labour charge near London is quite an unpleasant (although understandable) number.

my first service at around 4500 miles was quoted at £35 at Richmonds Guildford, but once I had the 3 windscreen wipers replaced and small repair made the final total was £88 including the teddy bear and AA cover

Exactly my first service cost , including vat

I found prices varied far too much from dealer to dealer so rang around and went with the 2nd closest garage that gave me the best price (service plan worked out a little cheaper). See attached

OMG. Maidstone MG - £140 for the first service tuesday just gone.
This has not made me happy.
was quoted £85 from MG Canterbury When I purchased last Septembe.
I think one has been fleeced.

I just cannot see why they are allowed to make up random prices for doing so little, particularly on EVs. I hope in future there's some legislation making it similar to Tesla servicing where things are only done if needed, like cabin filter (if dirty), or brake fluid once it's tested bad with moisture ect.

I paid £99 for my first service at 15,000 miles.

Yes, they did a video during service and when I presented it for fault checking with the shock. Nothing this time though even though I was sitting for 4 hours waiting but I guess they were busy being a Saturday
