First year done.

I am also just into my 12th month of ownership. MPG over 5435 miles is 52mpg, winter showing as 44 and spring as 59mpg. So, well pleased with that, especially as I've had periods where I've clocked 78 and 75mpg. I've also noticed I'm in EV mode quite often during these warmer months. I've had no problems at all, (I hope I'm not tempting fate!), and I'm quite at ease with the MG3s odd quirks, such as phantom braking when in ACC. I just tighten my grip on the reins until I've passed the probable trouble spots. All in all, an excellent little car. So easy to drive, comfortable on all roads and fantastic acceleration. Aitch

The MG3 Hybrid+ is one of the possible candidates to replace our Honda Jazz e:HEV in the future. But when I see the average fuel⛽ consumption of the MG here and on Spritmonitor, I start to have doubts.
The (actually measured, not according to the board computer) average consumption of our Jazz over almost 4 years and about 30,000 km (18,500 mi) is 4.65 l/100 km = almost 61 mpg.
For the MG3 Hybrid+ I see an average of about 5.3 l/100 km = just over 53 mpg. Not really impressive for a hybrid and it is an increase in consumption of almost 15% compared to our Jazz.
And yes... I know... a car is more than just consumption...💸

Hello, I feel justified in replying to your message because my previous car was precisely....a 2020 Jazz IV eHEV.
I understand your concern about fuel consumption, although it's slightly higher than my previous Jazz, but still quite reasonable: 4.3 L /100 km.

What's different with the MG3 in terms of consumption is that it's on the roads that consumption is lowest and not in the city (where the Jazz is unbeatable).
Otherwise, you'll have a much bigger battery than the Jazz (3 times bigger), and you'll be surprised how often you'll be in EV mode. And you'll start up in EV mode 90% of the time. Finally, in terms of performance and equipment, there's a gulf between the Jazz and the Mg3 hybrid.
I just miss the MAGIC seats and the beep in the rearview mirror when a vehicle is in the blind spot (the Mg3 has only one indicator light in this case), but the MG3 offers a host of equipment that the Jazz doesn't have.

Finally, in terms of price, you won't be disappointed, because if I didn't buy a Jazz again, it's because the Jazz is now overpriced

First year of ownership and first service completed, 5313 miles. No problems, save getting the wheel alignment sorted and that creaking noise over speed bumps when the temperature is low. Still very happy with the car, which over the past 3 months has averaged 58.5mpg.
One of the really great 'extras' on the MG3 is the fact that I don't need to even think about handbrakes. The extra push on the brake is all that's needed, or a light touch if in slow moving traffic. What a marvellous invention! I suppose I could add how effortless it is to cruise along in EV mode, but I need to stop praising this car.

Nope, don't stop. Nice to hear about, someone who is very happy with there MG. But I know what you mean, I'm always praising my X Power. 🙂👍
(Touch Wood) 😉
