FULL HYBRID CYBERSTER ?

Just wondering if there's any possibility of a reduced power Full Hybrid CYBERSTER likely in the future ?.
No chance.

The cyberster is built on an EV platform.

Plug in hybrid (range extender?)
The only possibility there would be to add an engine to charge the battery which is built into the car.

But it wouldn't be set up to do this. If you bought a generator and plug a cable into the charging socket then the car won't drive! So you'd have to change all the internal electrics. to fit in your generator

Why?
The big question is 'why would anyone want to do that?'

I guess if they are desperate for a cyberster but have no charging near them. Which would mean they are in a desert and can get their own solar for it.

When I read "reduced power", I assume the OP is young and can't find insurance for the power output the EVs have. Just a guess, my 20y son has the same problem. For LHD, there is a solution. In Austria and Italy, they have possibility to have cars registered with lower power, usually 135, 140 or 145 kW. You can search the used car market, below is an example search for Porsche, with 181 results:

Lol young people can do what everyone else had to do. Cycle, Scooter, Bus, Train. This was pre-uber. Or you pay £2000 to drive a 1600cc car for a couple of years then protect your no claims at year 5. We didnt have the option of driving premium sports cars from the jump. Many young people want it all too soon unfortunately. If they do show me the money 🤑

In UK especially in places like Alderley Edge, Leeds etc many young people are driving what they like at a cost of up to £5,000 for insurance. Depends on how badly they want to flex.

The lower powered cyberster is probably already group 45 for insurance here. Dual motor being 50. Hybrid Cyberster maybe on a different model in future but not Cyberster. Would be a waste of resources as the use case isnt huge as it is for sports cars with an open roof.

I'm a OAP actually & had a MGB roadster 50yrs ago , I just had a 'very late life crisis ' & fancied the Cyberster for relaxed weekend trips without the crazy high performance & insurance. Simple really !.

Thanks for following up.

If you're into the MGB, have a lot of money and aren't so worried about (complete lack of) charging speed then you could consider one of these £100k retro things...

No idea what the insurance would be, but they are less powerful than the cyberster.

Or get a retro conversion done by ev classics or similar, but that wouldn't be cheap either.
