Funny signs, graffiti etc. ?

Whilst I don't have a picture of it and I don't know if it's still there, on the door of the gents public toilets, at the entrance to Earls Court tube station, which you had to pay to use, it had a small sign which said ' Insert coin and turn knob'. I always found that highly amusing.

My nearest neighbour who got a MG ZS EV last year had this sign printed & stuck on his back gate

Tbh he’s done this because the next neighbour down is one of these people who are totally against EVs, anything negative he straight away posts over Facebook so it’s more of a wind up than anything else

Got to admit, every time I drive past it does make me smile ?

Brilliant, many years ago I wrote a poem about that :-

My Grandad's clever dog.


My grandfather told me a tale

I'll tell it you now if you've time

It happened when I was a lad

In days away back in long syne

He worked on the land all his days

As far as I understand

He toiled as a ploughman I know

When he took his Mary's fair hand

But all of the time that I knew him

As a shepherd he toiled away

His sheepdog was always my pal

When work was done, we'd play

Now Lassie,that dog, was clever

She was also a blacksmith you see

Or that's what Grandad said

I believed everything he told me

Lassie must've been really good

With an anvil 'n hammer 'n tools

For Grandad could never have lied

His Grandson he'd never have fooled

So the story he told me was true

Of the artisan dog on the floor

Who leapt when he stood on her tail

And that dog made a bolt for the door.
