Hi Simon, I assume it will work any where in the car.
I use Waze in my phone ( which needs GPS) and it works with my phone plugged in the usb socket and resting in that space
Thank you for the reply jem111111. Not keen on using Android Auto. Garmin used to work anywhere in previous car but just says "Acquiring Satellites" regardless of where I position it in the car. Must have a lot of electrical interference but must be somewhere I can place it where it works - and I can still see it.
My Garmins both have Maps for Life so are always up to date. From elsewhere on this Forum, it seems almost impossible to update the on-board maps and they are probably years out of date. I still think there must be a position in the car where the Garmins will work but I don't know where. Any ideas?
