Gear Select Control

Evening all! My MG5 LR 2021 with 33k gear selector knob has started to peel and become rough to the touch. Currently awaiting feedback from the local MG retailer - anybody else's suffering the same? Really frustrating as everything else has held up well.

You aren't the only person to see this but it's quite rare.
I have a 2021 MG5 and mine is still in perfect condition.
