Global software update for the MG3 hybrid+ is coming...

You clearly have more issues than everyone else, as I have never ever heard of a car revving at 4,000 as you want to park. And if you have read any of my other posts then you know I did have the same issues, yes mine does rev to 4,000, but a quick release of the accelerator or drop down a mile on cruise and it goes down to 2,000 or less, and generally stays there. can you advise how you know what % you have on your battery as there is no way of getting that on my car, and even the dealer says there is no real way to know how much is in the battery.

Revving whilst going up a slope is normal, and in every case, when you put your foot on the brake the revs drop if yours is not then you have some serious issues with your car, either stp driving it and get taken to a dealer or speak to the ASAP. as clearly you are driving a car that is NOT fit for being on the road.
Mine does exactly the same

Hi all just to let you all know the update for the mg3 hybrid will be available from October according to my dealership regarding over revving issues on hills etc .

Hi all , I've just come back from the Dealership According to them they have the memo from MG .that the update will be available from October regarding over revving hill issues etc.

Did it say a date for the release? I've got my car booked in for Sat Nav and software work regarding revving on the 1st. I'm guessing its going to be best to rebook this for when the software is released.

IAM sorry they just said October.

Thanks anyway. My car is going in tomorrow, 1st Oct, for the Sat Nav to be looked into (again!!) and also the over revving. After you posted about the global update I went into DriveMotor at Patchway where I bought the car and had a good chat with the MG tech. He hadn't heard of the October date but said he would investigate for me, as he agreed if the update was imminent it was pointless me taking the car in until it was issued. He promised to ring me if he wanted me to rebook, but he didn't.

So the car is in tomorrow, lets see what happens! If I get the update I'll let everyone know. I'm not holding my breath though!

Well, despite not hearing from the garage to say that there is no new update, the car went in today as previously booked to sort the over revving, and had nothing done to it as there is no new update yet. What a waste of time.
